I think I know what you mean. Like, I'll be in the middle of trying to fight a ton of really weak enemies and then the roulette thing pops up and then wastes the attack on the one monster that only has like... 1 hp left.. I hate the fact that it never does anything useful when I really need it to.

haha, yeah he's kinda creepy in that mode. There's one more fight after the avatar. The avatar is the hardest part, but once you get passed it you should be fine.
